The struggle is real!

Starting day 7 here. For some reason last night was especially difficult however it probably had something to do with my bottle of Weller 107 bourbon coming in. All I've wanted is a piece of bread and a sip of bourbon!

I've managed not to cheat even once so far. It's really not hard when comparing to so many other things. I find that keeping my brain busy really helps. When I sit down to watch a show is usually when I have the biggest struggles. I do really like the food I'm eating though! I had a grilled portabella mushroom with rosemary and a garlic avacado spread that I used as a dipping sauce.

I'm a big condiment person so this diet has pushed me to find alternatives. I've made my own mayonnaise (why did I ever buy mayo?!), pureed vegetables with olive oil or organic chicken stock (called a coulis), and even made my own vinaigrette's. I enjoy cooking so it's been fun for me.

  2. The beauty of this post is "keeping your mind on other things"... you get more out of each day when not drinking or eating things that bloat and then tire you (sugar). Nicely done my man.
